As I learn new Korean words I post them here. That's it. ★ 그립다 (all examples and definitions courtesy of naver) This word shows up in a lot of songs. So much that I decided it should be a word of the day. The weird thing here is that the object that you would miss is a “subject” in Korean. For example, in English you would say “I miss my hometown” and “hometown” would be the object that you miss, but in Korean but “I” and “Hometown” are subjects which is why you would say 고향[집]이 그립다 and not 고향[집]을 그립다 (which would seem more natural to english speakers. A little confusing, but looking through the examples you will see what I mean. 고향[집]이 그립다 그리운
얼굴들이 머릿속에 하나 둘씩 떠올랐다 Short phrases: 옛집이 그립다 가족이 그립다 학창시절이 그립다! Example sentences: Looking back upon my younger days, I long for it. That song conjures up memories of the good old
days. I long for warm human affection. Hearing that old song again warmed the cockles of her heart. I miss your touch, your kiss, your smile. I feel so lonely here in the country. I miss the city. When people are homesick they wanna sing. I’m so
homesick. Nobody here seems to like me. 6 notes View comments Tags: 그립다 miss long for korean korean language 그립다 영어로"그립다" 예문"그립다" 뜻"그립다" 중국어 예문
