한때는 챔피언 후보로 주목받았던 권투선수 도철은 후배에게 KO패 당한 후 권투를 그만둔다. 펀치 드렁크 현상이 있는 그는 관장의 도움으로 흥신소에서 일하게 되고 홍기를 만난다. 30억짜리 빌딩을 갖는 것이 꿈이라고 큰 소리 치는 그는 사실 빚에 시달리고 있는 양아치일 뿐이다. 홍기의 단칸방에서 같이 지내던 도철은 배우를 시켜주겠다며 홍기가 꼬드긴 미미를 만나 사랑을 느낀다. 어느날 미용실 개업식에 미미를 찾아간 둘은 술에 취해 행패를 부리다가 미미의 매니저가 내리친 술병에 도철이 맞아 입원한다. 홍기는 보상금과 도철의 돈을 훔쳐 달아나고 갈 곳이 없어진 도철은 다시 체육관으로 돌아가는데...
